War.
Famine.
Robotech
These are the problems that face the world now. These are real world issues, where there as nary a solution in sight. War plagues the world. Global Warming is looming its ugly head. And Robotech... My God, Robotech, seems less and less appealing everyday.
All there is... All I can expect from Robotech now... Is to visit the official forums. That's it. Nothing else to the fandom except that. Aside from a few podcasts out there, that's it.
Is it me, or is Robotech seriously losing its luster? I can almost feel my Robo-madness slipping away at times. It feels like the magic... The spark is flickering away into nothingness.
And yet I see people perfectly fine by this predicament. There are folks perfectly content in roaming the confined walls of these message boards... And then they get on with their lives. How is this a good community? How is this a fandom worth staying in?
You know, sometimes if I wonder if I take on the world's problems too seriously... In this case, it's sad because a dead fandom means less people interested in my fan-made stuff. So what is the point in going on? Should I simply... Move on? Move on to something else beyond Robotech?
I am seriously considering ending my love affair with Robotech. Who knows? Maybe when I wake up the next morning, this would all be a nightmare?
